Persona REM is a fanmade story with its original setting and plot.
It follows the story of Rai Yamamoto, who just moved to a new town to make a fresh start in a different environment. On her first day of school, she gets shown around the faculty and the city by Daisuke Imuoto; who is called Dan by everyone.
Everything seems to be going rather well in Rai’s new life. However, soon enough, she learns about strange cases of people falling into a deadly coma for unknown reasons.
Rai discovers her ability to travel to the Dreamworld, where she encounters the people who fell victim to these mysterious comas. Almost as if by instinct, she learns of her ability to summon Personas, with which she’s able to save the victims from their Nightmares, allowing them to wake up again.
As time passes, more people join Rai in her quest to find out what’s causing the comas, and what’s behind the mysterious Dreamworld. However, the real world also has its fair share of danger, and the local mafia is as much a threat as the deadly coma…
